The electronic (or alternatively pneumatic) exhaust power valve, also known as RAVE for Rotax Adjustable Variable Exhaust, has the task of making the engine, which is designed for high speeds through the resonance exhaust and the pre-exhaust (height difference of the exhaust duct to the intake ducts in degrees of the crankshaft), drivable at lower engine speeds. This is achieved by changing the control time of the exhaust duct by means of a slider, called the power valve.
