Turbine

The simulator features one turbine which consists of a high pressure part, a steam reheater and a low pressure part.

After the high pressure turbine part, steam is reheated from 137 °C to 263 °C by using steam from the steam drums. On full load, condensate from the reheater is fed back directly into the deaerator reservoir. During startup, condensate can be drained into the hotwell.

Turbine taps are used to extract steam from the high and low pressure parts, those are:

  • Deaerator Steam Supply (HP Turbine Extraction)
  • Preheater 3
  • Preheater 2
  • Preheater 1
  • Main Ejectors

Control Loops

There are multiple control loops on the turbine, each of them responding to different values.
